Has Anybody Seen Our Baby?

Lately I have found myself wondering...Where did my baby go? When did this little boy appear to take his place? It seems like it literally happened overnight! I swear that Jack started crawling/pulling up/walking while holding onto things/"talking" to us/etc. all in one month! I feel as though he turned into a little boy overnight and it makes me sad that he's growing so fast! Don't get me wrong...I LOVE to see him grow and watch all of the new things that he learns each day...but, it is going by way too fast! There is a lot of truth to the saying "time flies when you are having fun". :)

Speaking of time flying...I can't believe that Jack will be one next weekend! I think that it will be a weekend of mixed emotions for me...sad and happy all at the same time!

Here are a few recent stats on Jack:

• Crawls all over the place (and crawls over or on top of anything that might get in his way...it's hilarious!)
• Pulls up and climbs...on anything and anyone...
• Will be walking any second - He stands alone with no support, but, I think he's a little afraid to take that first step (he's a very cautious little boy!)
• Likes to pull hair...and earrings...OUCH!
• Hates to get dressed (especially having things put over his head - you would think that I was killing him or something!)
• Sleeps 12-13 hours a night and most of the time goes right to sleep without a struggle. He really likes being in his crib. I think it's a "comfort zone" for him.
• Carries on "conversations" with us. We say something and he will respond...in a language that only he understands right now ;).
• Has discovered his tongue. If I put him in front of a mirror he will stick out his tongue over and over and just laugh and laugh...it's so funny! 
• His favorite "toy" is his pacifier holder...who knew? We could have saved a lot of money on all of those toys had we known that all he wanted to play with was a plastic pacifier holder! ha!
• He has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth...they are so cute and tiny! He doesn't really know what to think of them just yet. He is always putting his hands in his mouth to feel them. 
• Loves the stroller...he will hang out for hours in the stroller while I run errands or shop...this makes life easy on me! He is such a laid back little boy.
• Takes one nap a day that is usually 2-3 hours long
• Loves to dance. If we dance...or bob our heads back and forth he will start shaking his whole body and bobbing his head back and forth and laughing....it is the funniest thing!
• Waves "bye bye" when he wants to...but, won't always do it when we want him to...go figure ;)
• Hates to have his face wiped after he eats
• Loves the bath and splashes everywhere (and gets water everywhere!)
• No longer uses the baby tub...he takes a bath in the real bathtub instead and loves it!
• He really inspects people that he doesn't know...he will just stare at them with curiosity...and then eventually will start smiling
• Throws any and all toys/pacifiers out of his crib...he thinks it's hilarious to see how many times I will pick them up. I have officially set a limit...2 times...and then they don't go back in...otherwise, I'd be in there all night picking up toys!
• Loves our dog Roscoe...he gets a lot of entertainment from watching Roscoe running around the house. Roscoe is the best dog...he is so patient with Jack (especially when Jack pulls his hair or his tail!)
• Jack gives "hugs"...it is the SWEETEST thing! He will crawl up in my lap and lay his head on my shoulder with his arms around my neck. It is so sweet. I could sit there forever when he does that!
• He has the sweetest smile and smiles all the time! He really is a very happy baby...and rarely gets upset.
• Copies our every move! Any expression that we make or anything that we say he tries to copy!
