I can't believe that Jack is ONE! Wow...that went by fast! John and I were reminiscing yesterday that last night (one year ago) would have been our first night at home with Jack. Last night we really appreciated our sleep...because one year ago we didn't sleep AT ALL that night. It was a rough one, but, well worth every minute! I always say that those first few weeks were our "initiation" into parenthood ;).
His checkup was yesterday and it was a tough one! They did the finger prick and two shots...he screamed bloody murder the whole time! When I picked him up off of the table after the shots he buried his head in my chest, wrapped his arms around my neck and just "boo-hooed"...sad, but, so sweet all at the same time. He has become such a little love bug.
As usual, the highlight of the doctor's visit for Jack was playing with the paper on the table. When we left the paper was in shreds. When the doctor came in he said "That's why we put that paper there....don't you know? For entertainment?" ;)
Here are the stats from his checkup....he's still HUGE!
Weight = 25 lbs. 5 oz. = between percentile 75 and 90
Height = 31 and 3/4 inches = 95th percentile
Head Circumference = 20 inches = above 95th percentile
I will post a first birthday blog soon...it's going to be a LONG blog though, so, I'll have to have a little more time to post that one! :)

My heart melts at imagery of him bear gouging you :).
ReplyDeleteI remember our first week with Lucius. We kept pleading with him,"we promise we'll get better at this! Give us a month."
