The Saunders Family: Here Comes Santa Claus....Here Comes Santa Claus...

Last night we decided to brave the cold weather and took Jack to see Santa for the very first time. He did GREAT! He was not afraid at all...I didn't expect that he would be though, because he seems to love everyone right now. He may get to a stage where he is afraid of strangers...but, for right now he's a super friendly little baby.

I dressed him up in his little smocked Santa outfit and his new shoes and we met John at Brookwood Mall after work (we heard that they have the best Santa). Apparently, Wednesday night is a great night to visit Santa because there was NO wait! I was fully expecting to wait in line for a long time so, this was great.

We put Jack in his new stroller and wheeled him up to Santa. The second that I took him out of the stroller he spit-up all over the left side of his outfit! UGH! It's like he tries to purposely sabotage any good photo opportunities that we have. (We tried to take him to a portrait studio a few months ago for his 3-month pictures and he spit-up on all THREE of the outfits that I took - we had to leave and go home! It wasn't funny to me then, but, I laugh about it now! :)) We put him on Santa's lap and the first thing that he did was looked directly up at Santa and pulled REALLY hard on his beard! Santa said "OUCH!" and pried Jack's little hand off of his beard. I think that Jack was just checking to be sure that Santa was "real"...he was :). Jack just loved Santa and was smiling a lot...but, for some reason each time that we would snap a picture he looked more stunned than happy. We couldn't seem to catch a smile on camera. Oh well! Next year!

After the pictures we wandered over to the food court for a quick dinner at Chick-Fil-A and then browsed around Books-A-Million and grabbed some coffee. It was lots of fun! Here are some pics from the night...
